The state of 'judging' is counterproductive to all of our successes. I consider myself a very lucky person as I was privileged to participate in what was then known as the quintessential inquiry into to the nature of what it meant to be a human being. This was a 60 hour intensive look into the nature of who I was and at my relationship to others. In 1975 I was inspired to do this work and was fortunate to spend a good deal of time contributing back my services. I did the 'est' Training, as it was called then, a world class work of art created by Werner Erhard, and now in his seventies continues to advance global harmony. It is my view that Werner opened the doors for millions to seek greater discovery and the work of Abraham-Hicks fills that need.
Why does my automatic way of being seek to evaluate, judge, fix, criticize etc.? Now I don't want to leave you with the impression that I do that, of course I do not.
Quite the contraire, I'm the most loving, kind, considerate, generous and appreciative person I know. Well perhaps I'm somewhere in between. We like to think of ourselves as better than that but we cleverly do judge. We think of ourselves as better than others, we are smarter, more educated, more experienced, and of course we are far more enlightened. We say God's on our side and we are not like those criminals who rape and steal and murder the innocent, or those politicians who care only for themselves and the rich who are selfish and greedy. We are better than they and think it rightly so. Ah as we righteously hail 'Father forgive them for they know not what they do'.Being judgmental is not bad or wrong. It simply doesn't work. It sustains a separation in your experience between you as your identity self and you as your divine self. Further it maintains a state of resistance and stress, a sort of pushing against and restriction of the freedom to be. Ecstasy is a pleasurable condition where one experiences the greater moments of no emotional resistance, and it is so contrary to our normal state, the contrast seems almost too good to endure. You can regain an experience of this by recalling a time when you experienced loving and being loved by another. Your sense of being 'okay' feels wonderful and filled with joy.
This is a state in which things work. There is no resistance and the things you have been wanting come your way with ease. Ever spent long periods where you felt the frustration of not finding anyone who wanted you, and then when the magic occurred there seemed to be numerous people showing an interest? Ever notice the more sales you have the more you sell; the more business comes in the more business comes knocking at your door?
All judging begins the moment by moment cultivation of the environment in which the occurring of life is experienced. The emotional environment you foster for yourself and others, be it in your personal relationships or the businesses you interact with, has a determining influence on the outcome you set forth to achieve. When you are happy and filled with joy it is unlikely that you can act negatively, you tend to see the best in others and most notably how you think of yourself. We do not need to prove to ourselves or others our value for our value is greater than you know.
Every time you catch yourself beginning to diminish another or yourself, consider another option and look for something you are appreciative of instead.
It is the vibrational match between your divine self and what you are witnessing. Your identity self and your divine self is present in your experience as aligned and in harmony for a brief period. That is always available when you are able to be present to who another is and who you are.
If you have difficulty with accepting your own goodness or accepting the dignity of another you are in a state of resistance. You are resistant to your true nature as a kind, loving and joyful creature who has come to play in this time space reality. Judging denies us the feeling of happiness and joy and these are necessary to sustain a condition of no resistance, freedom.
Keep looking for how your divine self would see you and the others in your life. Pay no attention to your judging self, and instead look for what it is you appreciate in others. Whatever opening you use to discover the value of pursuing a life of happiness, use it, future generations will become the beneficiaries of your joy.
I am truly grateful for the many, many wonderful and brilliant messengers who I have attracted into my life and what it has meant to my happiness and that of the people around me. I am also grateful for the opportunity you have given me to share these thoughts with you.
Being Judgmental Costs You More Sales Than You Know
